Give your favourite garments a new lease on life at this hands-on Visible Mending workshop. Designed for beginners and those wanting to refresh their sewing skills, this creative session explores practical techniques that transform repairs into beautiful design features.

Participants will learn decorative hand-stitching methods including appliqué, embroidery and sashiko — traditional techniques that not only repair worn or damaged clothing but also add character and individuality.

All mending supplies are provided during the workshop. If you have a specific item you would like advice on or plan to repair, you’re welcome to bring it along.

Tea and coffee will be available. To support waste reduction, attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable keep cup.

About the Presenter

With over 25 years of sewing and crafting experience, Elise founded Hoop Hoop Hooray in 2018, turning her lifelong passion into a small creative business. Known for her friendly and supportive teaching style, Elise creates welcoming workshop environments where participants can explore ideas, build confidence and develop new skills at their own pace.
