Adult Worm Farm Workshop
Curious about worm farming and how it can reduce household waste? This interactive workshop will guide you through everything you need to know to start your own worm farm at home.
During the session, you’ll discover how worms transform food scraps into valuable liquid fertiliser and nutrient-rich castings that help plants thrive. The workshop includes a detailed presentation covering worm care, maintenance, and the important role worms play in recycling and waste management.
Kevin from The Worm Shed will lead a practical demonstration showing how to correctly set up, manage, and maintain a worm farm. There will also be time for questions in an informal Q&A session.
Residents of the City of Kwinana have the opportunity to purchase a fully established worm farm package (including worms) at a subsidised price of $100. Proof of residency is required, and only one package is available per household. Worm farms must be pre-ordered during the booking process and can only be collected on the day of the workshop.
