Amazing Race – Waste & Recycling Edition
Gather your team, choose a name, and get ready to race! This interactive “Amazing Race – Waste & Recycling Edition” combines problem-solving, sustainability education and physical activity in a fun community event for all ages.
Starting at the Bunbury City & Regional Library, teams will follow clues to checkpoints across the Bunbury CBD. Along the way, participants will learn about reducing waste and recycling in the local area, while also exploring elements of fitness and nutrition.
At each checkpoint, teams receive their next clue as they make their way toward the final destination for a shared lunch. The first team to cross the finish line with a completed checkpoint sheet will win a prize hamper.
The event is facilitated by Danae Cornford from HappyWhenFit Bunbury, a school teacher, personal trainer and holistic health coach. The program is designed to educate and inspire participants to live healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
The race begins at the library and finishes at a CBD location. All checkpoints are accessible by walking, though participants should be prepared for light physical activity.
